A 2014–16 Toyota Alphard 30 series 2.5S with 40,000–80,000 km and no repair history hammers at a median of ¥2.13 million at Japanese auctions. The previous 20 series 240S sells for about half that, at a median of ¥1.13 million. Within the 30 series, the trim package moves the price as much as mileage does.
The Alphard is one of the most exported Japanese cars, and buyers rarely ask for "an Alphard". They ask for a generation, a trim and a budget. So here are the numbers by trim, mileage and auction score, from 134 Alphard sales at Japanese dealer auctions between 25 April and 24 July 2026. All cars are the 2.5-litre and 2.4-litre petrol models, score 4 or above, with no repair history; hybrids and the 3.5-litre V6 are not included.

30 series 2.5S: price by trim package#
2014–16 cars (AGH30W 2WD and AGH35W 4WD), 40,000–80,000 km, score 4 or above:
| Trim | Sold | Lowest | Median | Average | Highest |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2.5S | 16 | ¥1,485,000 | ¥1,820,000 | ¥1,837,000 | ¥2,195,000 |
| 2.5S A package | 25 | ¥1,465,000 | ¥2,130,000 | ¥2,047,000 | ¥2,600,000 |
| 2.5S C package | 21 | ¥2,040,000 | ¥2,295,000 | ¥2,321,000 | ¥2,660,000 |
| All 2.5S | 62 | ¥1,465,000 | ¥2,130,000 | ¥2,086,000 | ¥2,660,000 |
The order is clear: C package, then A package, then the standard 2.5S. The difference between the standard car and the C package is about ¥480,000 on average. The C package is the best-equipped 2.5S trim, and the A package sits between the two. If your buyers compare spec sheets, the C package is worth looking for. If they only see the body, the standard 2.5S is the value pick. 52 of the 62 cars were 2WD.
Mileage and score: about ¥160,000–240,000 a step#

| Mileage | Sold | Average | Median |
|---|---|---|---|
| 40,000 – 60,000 km | 26 | ¥2,224,000 | ¥2,230,000 |
| 60,000 – 80,000 km | 36 | ¥1,986,000 | ¥2,050,000 |
| Auction score | Sold | Average | Median |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 | 28 | ¥1,999,000 | ¥2,080,000 |
| 4.5 | 34 | ¥2,157,000 | ¥2,160,000 |
Dropping from the 40,000–60,000 km band to 60,000–80,000 km saves about ¥240,000. Moving from score 4 to score 4.5 costs about ¥160,000. No car in this group was graded 5 or above. That is normal for cars that are nine or ten years old.
30 series or 20 series?#
| 30 series 2.5S (2014–16) | 20 series 240S (2012–15) | Difference | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sold | 62 | 62 | |
| Median | ¥2,130,000 | ¥1,130,000 | about ¥1,000,000 |
| Average | ¥2,086,000 | ¥1,077,000 | about ¥1,009,000 |
The generation is a ¥1 million decision. The 20 series 240S, which includes special editions such as the Type Gold, ranged from ¥635,000 to ¥1,595,000; the 240S C package had a median of about ¥1.25 million. For markets that value the newer body and interior, the 30 series earns its premium. For markets that buy on price, the 20 series still moves well. We compare the Alphard with its sister car in Alphard vs Vellfire.
From hammer price to FOB#
For a ¥2,130,000 car:
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Hammer price | ¥2,130,000 |
| Auction fee | ¥22,000 |
| 10% consumption tax | ¥215,200 |
| Our service fee (hammer price ¥2M–3.5M) | ¥60,000 |
| Inland transport to the port | about ¥30,000 |
| FOB | about ¥2,457,000 |
That is roughly $16,000 at ¥154 to the dollar, before freight. The full fee table is on our pricing page.
Check the age limit first#
A 2014–16 car is ten to twelve years old. Several markets cap the age of imported used cars, and some measure the age on the date customs clearance completes. Check that before choosing between the 30 and 20 series; in a market with a strict limit the choice may already be made for you. Our Alphard buyer's guide covers the model in more detail.
A note on the data#
These figures cover cars sold from late April to late July 2026 at the major Japanese dealer auctions we use. Alphard prices move with the yen and with demand from the large export markets, so treat them as a guide to the relationships between trims and mileages, and ask us for the current picture before you set a budget.
Frequently asked questions#
Why are there no hybrids or 3.5-litre cars in these numbers? They are priced differently and would blur the picture. Ask us for a separate breakdown if you need one.
What is the difference between the AGH30W and AGH35W? The AGH30W is 2WD, and the AGH35W is 4WD. 4WD is useful in snowy or rough-road markets; most export buyers take 2WD.
Are the newer 30 series facelift cars much dearer? Yes. The 2018 facelift and later cars sit well above the figures here. We can pull a breakdown for any year range.
Can you find a C package in a specific colour? Pearl white and black are by far the most common. Tell us the colour, trim and mileage band, and we search each week's auctions against it.
