Used Nissan Note for Export from Japan
The Note is Nissan's compact volume seller, and the E12 e-POWER version (2016–) changed the export game: a petrol engine that only generates electricity while an electric motor drives the wheels — EV smoothness with no charging infrastructure needed. Jamaica, Kenya, Sri Lanka and Mongolia buy heavily. The pre-e-POWER 1.2L is one of the cheapest reliable Japanese compacts at auction.

What to check at auction
e-POWER: battery SOH plus inverter health — request diagnostic notes. The HR12DE three-cylinder eats timing chains when oil changes were skipped; listen for cold-start rattle notes. CVT shudder on non-e-POWER cars.
